EqualNote is a local-first calculator notepad. This page explains what data we handle and how.

1. What we collect
EqualNote does not require an account, and we do not store your notes or calculations on any server.
- Your notes & calculations stay in your own browser via
localStorage. They are never sent to us. - Preferences (language and theme) are saved locally in your browser.
- The calculations themselves are parsed and rendered entirely on your device. No math is sent over the network.
2. Privacy-friendly analytics
EqualNote uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free and privacy-friendly analytics service. It does not set tracking cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It only measures anonymous, aggregated usage such as page views and visitor counts, which helps us improve the product.
3. Contact form
When you use the Contact page, the message you submit (your name, email, and message) is sent through our form processor (Web3Forms) so we can reply to you. We use your email only to respond, never for marketing.
4. Children's privacy
EqualNote does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not store accounts or notes on a server, no personal data about any user is retained by us.
5. Your control over data
You can clear everything EqualNote stored locally at any time by clearing your browser's site data for equalnote.com, or by removing the relevant entries in your browser's storage settings. There is no account to delete.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
